Staff members of an online shop were busy wrapping goods in a basement of Qingyanliu village in Yiwu on August 11, 2010. All the goods purchased online would be delivered to all parts of the country. According to the planning, the first combination of on-line commercial city and brick-and-mortar shops in Yiwu will be situated at Qingyanliu village. The whole village of on-line shops covers an area of over 300 thousand square meters which will form industries like e-commerce, logistics and storage.

Currently, there are over 1,000 online shops in yiwu Qingyanliu village. Its sales volume last year was approximately 800 million yuan, which is worthy of its nickname "Taobao Village".
