Especially in the area of hardware and tableware, foreign purchasers greatly outnumber domestic purchasers. It is learned from Yiwu Customs that the average daily commodities export increased to 2,000 TEU in April, a rise of 400 TEU every day compared with the same period last year. In April, Yiwu Customs received 32,000 export declarations of commodities in total, of which over 8,900 declarations were from Jinhua Customs. Yiwu Customs supervised 60,000 containers, with 13,000 TEU exported through Jinhua Customs. The number of declarations and containers increased 14.3% and 17.6% respectively compared with the same period of the previous year. The commodities were exported to over 200 countries and regions with a large proportion of mechanical & electrical products, clothes & accessories, plastic products, and glassware. Yiwu Customs introduced that from January to April, the volume of Yiwu self-run export reached 730 million dollars, a rise of 34% compared with the same period last year and a rise of 2% compared with the average percentage in Zhejiang. In April, the volume of self-run export reached 220 million dollars, a rise of 23 .5% compared with the same period last year. It is the highest since the beginning of this year, accounting for 1.6% of the total export volume of Zhejiang province.
