The Jewellery Arabia series of exhibitions is organised by Bahrain's leading exhibition organiser-Arabian Exhibition Management WLL and marketed worldwide by London based Overseas Exhibition Services Ltd and Singapore based International Expo Management Pte Ltd. A special "ladies only" morning provides an opportunity for ladies to view and select jewellery in a secure and private atmosphere.
Exhibitor profile includes independent retail outlets, retail chains, designer manufacturers, wholesalers, laboratories, publications and service providers. It is the definitive event for jewellery collections bringing together the world's most celebrated watch and jewellery brands, in addition to unique pieces and collector's items.
Amongst the floor area of 16,000 square metres, eminent jewellery houses such as Cartier, Chatila S.A., Chopard, David Morris, De Beers, Fitaihi Junior, George Hakim, Global Royalties, Graff Diamonds, Harry Winston, Hermes Watches, Hublot, Jacob & Co, Patek Philippe, Piaget and Van Cleef, Versace, W. Salamon and others will display their unique ranges.
They are joined by a host of international pavilions from leading export countries including Brazil, Greece, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Thailand and Turkey who lend an eclectic, international flavour to the exhibition.
A strong Lebanese and GCC contingent drawn from the region's most exclusive jewellers concludes this line up. Amongst them are some of Bahrain's leading jewellers-Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Asia Jewellers, Taqi's Jewellery, Al Mahmood Pearls and Al Zain-who bring together stunning collections of famous international brands in boutique designs.
The Jewellery Arabia series is carefully managed to provide a platform of exciting new and exclusive collections and products for connoisseurs of jewellery, private collectors, serious buyers and the discerning Middle Eastern market. Jewellery Arabia's high quality profile and enthusiastic consumer following continues to reflect the region's passion for fine jewellery, which has succeeded in creating one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
History of Jewellery Arabia: The annual Jewellery Arabia Show which began in 1991 now attracts over 500 exhibitors to Bahrain's International Exhibition Centre every year. An international exhibition of fine jewellery and luxury watches, it attracts buyers and private collectors from throughout the Arab World.
Objects on display at the exhibition include antique jewellery, clocks, diamond and gem-set jewellery, gold jewellery, silver jewellery, silverware and watches with a host of reputable international exhibitors including Valentino, Chanel, Versace, Gucci, Swatch, Omega, Patek Philippe and other well-known names.
Jewellery Arabia, now established as the biggest and most prestigious jewellery exhibition in the Middle East, provides international jewellery houses with direct access to jewellery trade buyers and private collectors from throughout the Arab World. The international pavilions in addition to a strong Lebanese and GCC contingent will bring together stunning collections of famous international brands in boutique formats.
Many of the exhibiting companies will once again have an exclusive presence in the Middle East at Jewellery Arabia, affording upwards of 40,000 visitors a unique preview of the global market. Since its inauguration, Jewellery Arabia has firmly established itself as the biggest and most prestigious jewellery exhibition in the Middle East, providing international jewellery houses with unrivalled direct access to trade buyers and private collectors from throughout this important economic sector.
Bahrain great venue for Jewellery Arabia show: Bahrain with its central geographic location to the Gulf States is the ideal location for Jewellery Arabia. With its physical connection to Saudi Arabia the region's single largest jewellery consumer and its position at the hub of Arab Gulf trade makes it the natural gateway to the Arabian jewellery market.
The Arabs' passion for fine jewellery has created the world's largest and most dynamic jewellery market, worth more than US$30 billion a year. The demand in this region for jewellery ranges from simple gold designs for everyday wear through to exclusive and customised pieces for social and festive occasions. The dynamic designs of local jewellers coordinated by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce will also be displayed during the show.
The passion for jewellery stems from the fact that Bahrain had its own pearl industry, a trade which sadly has faded away. Pearls used to be Bahrain's primary economic product throughout its history until 1932 when the discovery of oil changed the course of our history. Bahrain has, no doubt, enjoyed the benefits of this natural resource. Still, oil is a finite commodity and Bahrain has made great strides toward diversification of its economy.
Bahrain is also a well-known offshore banking centre and international and regional inter-bank money market. Production of oil and natural gas and refinement of petroleum are also major economic activities in Bahrain. Industrialisation and private sector investment in sectors such as tourism are encouraged, which makes Bahrain a great venue for hosting the Jewellery Show.
The Ritz Carlton Hotel Bahrain will play host again for the fourth year running to the Middle East Watches, Jewellery and Pen Awards which will be held at a special pavilion at the exhibition centre. The dedicated pavilion will feature a wide range of the most exceptional pens both contemporary and vintage. Held under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E. Dr Hassan Fakhro, the awards will acknowledge top industry brands for their creativity and distinction.
